TO MEMBERS OF LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY
Salary Rs.3000/- p.m.
Compensatory Allowance Rs.7000/- p.m.
Telephone Rs.5000/- p.m.
Consolidated Allowance Rs.2500/- p.m.
Constituency Allowance Rs.5000/- p.m.
Postal Allowance Rs.2500/- p.m.
Vehicle Allowance Rs.5000/- p.m. (Total Rs.30,000/- p.m.) w.e.f. 01.04.2008
Travelling Allowance A.C.II Tier fare
Daily Allowance Rs.500/-
Transit by Railway Allowance Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) per annum (paid in 2 instalments i.e. in April and October)
Bus Pass Free Bus pass to travel within the State + 1 (with one attendant)
Telephone facility One Telephone at Hostel (Rent only is paid by this Secretariat) One Telephone at Residence
Accommodation i) An apartment is provided at a concessional rent of Rs.250/- p.m.
(or)
ii) Hostel Accommodation is provided at a concessional rent of Rs.2.50 per day.
Medical facility i) Free treatment in Govt. Hospital.
ii) Cost of medicines purchased in open market is reimbursed
iii) Financial assistance to major surgery subject to certain conditions.
Library facility A well equipped Legislature Library is available.
Other facility i) Free Stationeries are supplied
ii) Secretarial assistance is provided.
iii) Railway Reservation Counter is
exclusively functioning in MLA's Hostel.
In case of Death of a Member i) Ambulance facility in case of unfortunate demise.
ii) Family Allowance of Rs.1000/- p.m. to the family.
iii) Lumpsum Allowance of Rs.1,00,000/- is paid to the legal heir.
iv) Family pension of Rs.4000/- p.m. to the legal heir of the deceased Member.

FACILITIES TO FORMER MEMBERS

Pension a) Rs. 8000/- p.m. for serving more than one year.
b) Rs.4000/- p.m. for serving less than one year. 
Family Pension 50% of Pension is sanctioned as family Pension. 
Medical Allowance Rs. 4000/- per annum.
Accommodation Accommodation in MLAs' Hostel at a concessional rate of:
i) Rs. 30/- per day for first five days.
ii) Rs. 60/- per day from sixth day onwards.
Free Bus Pass Free Bus Pass is provided to travel within the state + 1 (with one attendant).
